ONLINE TEACHER WORKSHOP
Arizona Project Archaeology offers a free online self-paced Project Archaeology: Investigating Shelter course through the Arizona State University Career Catalyst system. This interactive online course will present each lesson, featuring an enduring understanding, essential question, and assessment tool. Lessons also include teacher tools such as background information, materials list, word bank, interactive activities, a list of subjects covered and the corresponding ADE Standards.
Course participants will receive a certificate of completion for eight professional development hours.

Who We Are
Arizona Project Archaeology, in concert with the national Project Archaeology program, is an educational organization dedicated to teaching scientific and historical inquiry, cultural understanding, and the importance of protecting our nation’s rich cultural resources. We are part of a statewide and national network of archaeologists, educators, and concerned citizens working to make archaeology education accessible to students and teachers through high-quality educational materials and professional development. Project Archaeology gives students a basic understanding of how archaeology works and teaches them to respect and protect our nation’s rich cultural heritage.
